About the Recipe

This delicious recipe is an anti-inflammatory recipe that is also FODMAP friendly.

Ingredients

  • 4 jalapeno chilies

  • 1 cup chana besan (Chickpea flour)

  • 1 teaspoon carom seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Oil, for frying



Preparation

  1. Carefully make a split lengthwise in the chilies, sufficient to take out seeds. Set aside. (Option: you may stuff with aged cheese)

  2. In a medium bowl, mix all dry ingredients. Add water to make a thick batter.

  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet.

  4. Once hot, coat the jalapeno in batter and deep fry for 4 minutes on each side.
